Over Tim

Tim is managing director van het Expertisecentrum. Hij kan putten uit 20 jaar ervaring in het lesgeven in in secundair onderwijs, lerarenopleiding en in de master onderwijswetenschappen. Hij doet momenteel promotieonderzoek rond effectieve leerstrategieën en is auteur van het boek ‘Wijze Lessen: twaalf bouwstenen voor effectieve didactiek.’ Hij is een veelgevraagd spreker in België en Nederland rond effectieve instructie en leerstrategieën. Tim maakt deel uit van de expertencommissie Beter Onderwijs Vlaanderen.

About Tim

As ExCEL’s research manager, Tim can rely on over 20 years of experience teaching in secondary education, teacher education and the Master’s programme Educational Sciences. He is currently conducting his doctoral research on effective learning strategies at the Open University in the Netherlands. As co-author of Lessons for learning: twelve building blocks for effective education, he is a popular speaker in Belgium and the Netherlands on effective instruction and learning strategies. He also shares his expertise in the expert commission Better Education Flanders.
